Some Important things to look for in an Earthquake Preparedness Kit
- Backpack Quality .… you will want to make sure you have a good, strong backpack of some sort that can withstand being carried around, or banged around in the trunk of your car for months until you need it.
- First Aid Kit …make sure your first aid kit has plenty of supplies such as bandages, pain killers, ace wrap, sling, etc.
- Food …a 3600 calorie bar is a great food item to add to your bug out bag or survival kit. Anything smaller is going to be inadequate…. or even better yet, have several freeze dried meals stuffed in somewhere. (You will want the kind that is shake and serve.)
- Radio and Flashlight …a solar radio is a GREAT addition.
- Shelter and Something for Warmth …as always, look for quality, but a space blanket or two is a great addition and a tube tent. Also some candles and WATER-PROOF matches.
Basicallyt , it basically boils down to the fact of simply having some sort of basic earthquake kit or preparedness survival kit that is prepared and HANDY to grab at a moments notice.
We take emergency preparedness quite seriously at Emergency-Survival-Skills.com and are hoping to help as many folks as we can to at least have some sort of basic survival plan in place before it is too late.
